Extracts from letters recipients of Royal British Legion Attendant Company Trust Grants

"I have recently gained a training grant from your organisation and been able to attend the course I had booked. I am writing to you in order to express my thanks and also to update you on the success of the course. I completed the course and examination, having passed the certification requirements, I now work on a permanent basis with a company in Glasgow.
All of this would not have been possible without the help from the RBLA. Hopefully I will be able to return this gesture in the near future. Thank you again for your kind help and assistance with allowing me to gain a new career on leaving the armed forces."

"I am writing to say how much I am grateful for the funding that you have granted me. I am still overcome with joy as I could not afford these courses without your kind help. Once I have completed these courses I am guaranteed a job with a company in my home town. I would also like to add that it gives me a great feeling to know that after you leave the services there are loyal caring people like yourselves here to help those in need and I take my hat off to everyone of you. Many Thanks Again".

"Thank you for your grant towards my re-training I would like to thank you very much for your generosity it has made a massive difference to my life. Before this grant I was working in a dead end job in a factory, me and my family were struggling to get by. Now I am half way through my training but I am working for a new company and my life is 100% better. None of this would have been possible without your help. I am very grateful, thank you again".

"Many thanks for your grant towards the educational cost of our daughter; who as you are aware has very special needs. She is progressing well at the Boarding School and staff there have been most helpful. Again very many thanks for your generous contribution, I will keep in touch and let you know how she gets on".

"Thank you very much for your assistance, I have now completed my course and have found a job. Without your help I would have been in debt and unemployed".
